MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The leader of Wisconsin’s group of private colleges and universities plans to retire after three decades at the helm. Rolf Wegenke became president of the Wisconsin Association of Private Colleges and Universities, also known as WAICU, in 1992. 11-2-21 statue of vel phillips approved for state capitol

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Vel Phillips, Wisconsin’s first Black secretary of state, will be honored with a statue on the state’s Capitol grounds. The Capitol and Executive Residence Board voted unanimously to erect the statue of Phillips, the Wisconsin State Journal reported. 11-1-21 fdl apartment dryer fire

Nobody was injured in a dryer fire at a Fond du Lac apartment complex.   Shortly before 8pm Sunday firefighters were called to the Glacier Valley Estates on North Prairie Road for a fire in a third floor laundry room.  The fire was contained to the dryer and was extinguished.  No residents were injured or displaced.   Fire crews found duct work full of lint which contributed to the dryer catching fire.  FDLFR would like to […]
