The president of Fond du Lac County’s economic development agency says the latest indicators show a more promising economic outlook locally from the pandemic recession. Nationwide, employers added more jobs than expected, the unemployment rate fell, service companies have reported a sharp jump in sales, more Americans bought homes and consumer confidence rose. Envision Greater Fond du Lac president Sadie Parafiniuk says all of those things are happening locally as well. At the same time Parafiniuk says labor shortages continue across the country and in Fond du Lac County.
