12-27-21 pregnant appleton woman killed in traffic crash

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Authorities have identified a pregnant woman who was killed in in a three-vehicle crash near Weyauwega in northeastern Wisconsin. The State Patrol identified the woman killed in the Thursday morning crash as 26-year-old Genesis Stanton of Appleton. Her unborn child did not survive. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — University of Wisconsin-Madison Athletic Director Chis McIntosh has contracted COVID-19 and will miss the Badgers' bowl game in Las Vegas. 12-24-21 former fdl woman convicted in death of infant

A former Fond du Lac woman charged  in the 2018 death of her infant daughter  has been convicted.   Twenty seven year old Shauntina Fuller-Panky has entered an Alford plea to  first degree reckless homicide in the death of  a two month old infant.   A pre-sentence investigtion was ordered.  Fuller-Pankey faces a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison and 25 years of extended supervision.  A sentencing hearing will be held […]

Fond du Lac City offices are closed on December 24th and  December 31st in observance of the holidays.  The Municipal Service Center will be closed to all services on December 24th and December 31st. 12-24-21 farrell not running for re-election

Longtime Fond du Lac County Board chairman Marty Farrell is not running for re-election.  Farrell has filed declaration of non-candidacy papers.  He is the fifth incumbent supervisor not seeking re-election and there are two open seats in two other supervisory districts.   Incumbents, Robert Giese, Tom Kitchen, Lisette Aldrich and Brian Kolstad have also announced they are not running for re-election.   There are also open seats in District 16 and District 25.
