Fond du Lac police are continuing their investigation following a short vehicle chase early Friday morning. It started shortly after 12:30am Friday when an officer attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Sheboygan and South Marr Streets for an equipment violation. The vehicle fled eastbound with speeds near 60 miles an hour, failing to stop for a stop sign at Sheboygan Street and S. Park Avenue and eventually stopped near the intersection of Sheboygan and Everett Streets where the driver fled on foot. A passenger, a 26 year old Waupun resident, was detained at the scene. The driver, a 23 year old Oshkosh resident, faces eluding and drug charges.
