The Marshfield Medical Center-Beaver Dam Pharmacy is helping reduce prescription drug misuse with the installation of a medication disposal receptacle in its pharmacy, located on the first floor of the medical office building on the main hospital campus.  The project is a partnership between MMC-BD and the Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention  of Dodge County.  Customers and patients are able to bring in their unused medications to the MMC-BD Pharmacy and drop  them into the specially designed receptacle, which is securely installed and can only be accessed and emptied by two pharmacy employees as required by federal Drug Enforcement Administration guidelines.
