1-31-22 fdl county covid-19 cases continue to drop

There are more signs the Omicron variant surge may have peaked in Fond du Lac County.  After surging in early January, daily cases continued to drop last week with slightly over 100 cases reported on Friday.   Public Health Environmental Health supervisor Danielle Vollendorf says the drop comes following a report from the Mayo Clinic that the Omicron surge in Wisconsin has peaked.  Vollendorf says only 112 cases were confirmed Friday.  There are 13 people hospitalized in Fond du Lac County with active COVID1-19.
