2-28-22 convicted child sex offender moving to new location in fdl

The Fond du Lac Police Department is notifying the public that a convicted child sex offender is moving to a new location.  Police say Gerald Schultz will be living at 186 East Johnson Street starting  this week.  Schultz served 13 years in prison for sexually assaulting two teenage boys.  Schultz is on extended supervision until April 2023.

2-28-22 traffic deaths in wisconsin show no signs of slowing down

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The start of a new year has not shown an improvement to the rash of traffic deaths in Wisconsin since the start of the COVID pandemic. 2-28-22 two people killed in one-vehicle crash in fdl county

Two people were killed in a one vehicle alcohol-related crash on Highway 151 in Fond du Lac County.  The crash happened shortly before 2:30am Saturday on Highway 151 near County Highway WH.  A preliminary investigation indicates a northbound vehicle on 151 left the road and struck a tree.  A 41 year old Fond du Lac man and 34 year old Fond du Lac woman were pronounced dead at the scene.  A 37 year old Fond […]

2-28-22 wisconsin prisons to allow in-person visits again

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin prisons will allow in-person visits again beginning next week as COVID-19 cases continue to decline. Department of Corrections officials said Friday that they will reopen their facilities to visitors starting Tuesday. 2-28-22 judge to consider if marsy’s law was properly enacted

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Supreme Court will decide whether a constitutional amendment expanding crime victims' rights was properly enacted. Voters approved the so-called Marsy's Law amendment in a statewide referendum in April 2020. Dane County Circuit Judge Frank Remington ruled last year that the ballot question wasn't phrased properly and didn't adequately warn voters that the amendment would diminish defendants' rights. 2-28-22 campbellsport school district hires new administrator

The Campbellsport School District has a new administrator.  The school board is expected to officially approve the hiring of Thomas Wissink at it's March 7th meeting.  Wissink will begin his duties July 1, replacing Paul Amundson.  Amundson is leaving after nine years as administrator.   Wissink is currently the New Richmond High School principal.

2-28-22 former eden pastor arrested for possession of child pornography

A former pastor in Eden pastor has been arrested in Outagamie County child pornography and drug charges.  Forty eight year old Rick Haberland faces 20 counts of child pornography and possession of methamphetamine.  He was arrested after law enforcement received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.  Haberland is the pastor at Oneida United Methodist Church in the Town of Oneida.  Haberland is a former pastor at Tabor United Methodist Church in Eden.
