For nearly a half century National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It starts the last Sunday in January and runs all week. President of St. Mary’s Springs Academy in Fond du Lac, Stacey Akey, says the theme this week is “Catholic Schools: Faith, Excellence, Service.” Akey says students are involved in several projects this week in observance of the annual celebration. Akey says at St. Mary’s Springs Academy service is interconnected with faith.
