Nobody was injured in a fire that damaged the basement of a Fond du Lac home. Shortly before 4pm Thursday firefighters were called to 303 10th Street and quickly extinguished the fire but not before it caused significant damage in the basement and heavy smoke damage throughout the home. The home is uninhabitable at this time. The cause of the fire is under investigation. All residents were able to evacuate without injury and the Red Cross has been called to assist them with shelter.
