Nobody was injured and a Fond du Lac man was taken into protective custody after he called the dispatch center and said he wanted police officers to shoot him. Thursday night Police were called to the area of Scott Street and N Seymour Street for a distraught subject who called the Dispatcher Center stating that he wanted officers to shoot him . Officers attempted to de-escalate the subject who at one point drove off and threatened to drive into a train if the police did not shoot him. The subject then returned to his residence and after additional communication and negotiations he was taken into protective custody and transported to an area hospital for a mental health evaluation.
