The Republican Party of Fond du Lac County has a new leader. At it’s annual caucus Thursday night the county party unanimously elected Timothy Bachleitner to be the chairman for the rest of the 2022 election cycle. “As we are in the midst of a great political awakening it is an honor to lead an organization with such a great foundation and values,” Bachleitner said. Outgoing secretary Jaedon Buchholz was elected vice chair. Bachleitner replaces Rohn Bishop who stepped down as chairman to focus on his campaign for Waupun mayor.
