The Fond du Lac Fire Chief is reminding residents to properly discard burning materials after two recent residential fires. A January 29 fire that started in garbage container damaged a garage, and a fire this past weekend damaged the siding of a Fond du Lac duplex. “It’s just a good reminder to people that trash receptacles and recycling receptacles are made of plastic and they burn,” O’Leary told WFDL news. “…and they burn really hot when they burn.” Nobody was injured in either fire.
