The omicron variant of COVID-19 was discovered less than three months ago, peaking in Wisconsin last month.   But just as quickly as cases surged across Wisconsin, the decline has been dramatic.  Mo Kharbat is the vice president of pharmacy services with SSM Health Wisconsin Region.  “It spread so fast but then it declined so sharply, so quickly after peaking and it is good for the community,”  Kharbat told WFDL news.  So what happens next?  Khabart says all signs are pointing to a lull in the pandemic. Kharbat says the unknown is the potential rise of other variants in the future.
