SSM Health Greater Fond du Lac Region has announced it is partnering with Moraine Park Technical College to open the SSM Health Treffert Studios. Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health with the Treffert Center and Autism Services Dr. Matt Doll says the Treffert Studios will expand clinical services and offerings to young adults with a focus on strengths and neuro diversity. Dr. Doll says the focus will be to help young adults develop skills to secure gainful employment. Dr. Doll describes the Treffert studios as a “game changer.” The Treffert Studios will create space for hosting performances, speaker events, an art gallery and healing garden. Other activities include producing music and videos, multimedia-based mental health care treatments, training and educating Wisconsin’s mental health workforce, and cultivating critical life skills including social communication and creative self-expression. The $2.75 million project will be located in the current MPTC administration building at the corner of Highway 23 and National Avenue. Construction is scheduled to start this spring and completed this summer, employing 20-30 part and full-time positions. The Agnesian HealthCare Foundation is providing a $250,000 donation toward the project.
