A Fond du Lac man convicted in connection with a shooting incident more than two years ago near the Fond du Lac Labor Temple building is going to prison. Fond du Lac judge Dale English has sentenced Dammahum A. Gibson to seven years in prison followed by eight years of extended supervision. Gibson earlier pleaded no contest to two counts each of first degree reckless endangering safety with a dangerous weapon misdemeanor bail jumping with a dangerous weapon. A second individual convicted in the case, Vincent Riddle, was earlier sentenced to prison. According to a criminal complaint Gibson fired several shots at Riddle’s brother and Riddle fired multiple shots in return. Police say the shooting stemmed from an argument over some repairs that were supposed to be done to a vehicle. Nobody was injured in the incident that left bullet holes the the Labor Temple building on Bank Street.
