An Oakfield man is in custody following a high speed chase. The chase started shortly after 8:30pm on Highway 151 near Highway 175 and continued southbound on 151 when the vehicle exited onto Highway D. The chase continued at a high rate of speed on numerous side streets in the village of Oakfield, and again southbound on D before the vehicle ran over stop sticks. The driver, a 28 year old Oakfield man, was arrested and faces charges of eluding and OWI. One Deputy was transported to a local hospital and released for minor injuries as a result of the pursuit. Two squad cars also received minor damage from the pursuit.
