Envision Greater Fond du Lac is seeking manufacturing businesses to participate in a newly launched Solutions to the Fond du Lac County Skills Shortage Taskforce. Envision president Sadie Parafiniuk says the taskforce has been created in partnership with the Northeast Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance to address workforce shortages in the manufacturing industry. Parafiniuk says Envision is currently working on a couple of pilot programs to address the workforce shortage including highlighting manufacturing careers to high school juniors and seniors. Parafiniuk says Envision also continues to work with connecting teachers and the Northeast Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance, and touring area manufacturers.
