The vice president of Pharmacy Services with SSM Health Wisconsin Region says we may see COVID-19 cases start to rise again as a new coronavirus variant is making its way across the United States. New data releaseed this week shows the BA2 variant is spreading more quickly in the Northeast and West and appears to be on its way to becoming the dominant coronavirus strain, having roughly doubled each week for the past month. The variant was first detected in Europe about two months ago where it spread rapidly. Vice President of Pharmacy Services with SSM Health Wisconsin Region Mo Kharbat says the question is how serious this new variant will be.
