Only one person has filed nomination papers to run for Fond du Lac County executive. County board supervisor Sam Kaufman, collected the necessary 500 signatures and filed his nomination papers before the 5pm Tuesday deadline to run for the office. Kaufman will be the only name on the ballot June 7. There will not be a May Primary Election. The special election was called following the death of longtime county executive Al Buechel March 27 from a heart attack.
