Fond du Lac County has dropped in the latest health rankings. Fond du lac County is ranked 41 out of 72 counties, down from 34 in 2021. Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says a shortage of providers influences a county’s overall health. Mueller says the rankings help health care professionals understand factors affecting health in the community and identify areas for improvement and recognize strengths. Mueller says the statistics show that mental health is a big concern locally. The data shows Fond du Lac County is below the statewide average when it comes to providing a living wage, and gender pay gap.
