Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a backhoe and caused minor damage to a barn in Fond du Lac County. Firefighters were called to the farm on Oak Grove Road in the town of Alto Friday evening. A preliminary investigation shows a backhoe that was parked inside the barn had started on fire. The fire then spread to the barn where it was extinguished. The backhoe was a total loss and the barn received minor damage. There were no injuries from the fire and no animals were harmed in the fire.
