The Fond du Lac Police and Fire Commission has voted unanimously to appoint Erick Gerritson as the next Fond du Lac Fire Chief. Gerritson was selected out of a field of nine applicants, and was the only finalist interviewed for the position. The PFC requested the input of the public through two online surveys during the course of the recruitment and viewed those results prior to the final interview Tuesday. Gerritson has been serving as interim chief since the retirement of Pete O’Leary in April.
