Fond du Lac Republican state representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt says the U.S. Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade is a positive step for America. “I obviously have joy, I’m 100 percent pro-life, I’ve campaigned on these issues,” Thiesfeldt told WFDL news. Thiesfeldt says the constitutional right to an abortion was a mistake when it was put in place. Legal experts say it’s uncommon for constitutional rights to be eliminated or even significantly restricted, but not unprecedented.
