Gov. Tony Evers announced today that he is seeking applicants for the Fond du Lac County Circuit Court–Branch 1. The appointment will fill a vacancy being created by Judge Dale L. English’s resignation, effective Dec. 1, 2022. The new judge will complete a term ending July 31, 2023.

The Mega Millions lottery jackpot now sits at a near record $1.1 billion for tonight’s drawing. Once before this, Mega Millions had a larger jackpot. 2018 saw a single winner in South Carolina win the jackpot of just over $1.5 billion.

A fire that destroyed a vacant house early Friday in the Town of Ashford is being investigated for possible arson. The residence was partially engulfed in flames when they arrived. The residence was unoccupied and has been vacant for at least a year. The house is considered a total loss. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the cause of the fire.
