Nobody was injured and a suspect is in custody following a high speed chase in Fond du Lac County. It started shortly after 6pm Saturday when the Fond du Lac County Communications Center received reports of a pickup truck crossing the center line of Highway 151 southbound near Linden Beach Road nearly crashing into oncoming traffic. When sheriff’s deputies attempted to make a traffic stop the vehicle sped away. The chase continued on County Highway K, northbound on Highway 45 into the city of Fond du Lac, eastbound on Rienzi Road, and back to Highway 151 where tire deflation devices were successfully deployed. The pursuit continued after the pickup exited on Hickory Street where a sheriff’s squad used a Pursuit Intervention Technique causing the pickup to spin off the roadway and become disabled in the The driver was then taken into custody without any further incident. A 51 year old Greenfield man is being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail on charges of Fleeing/ Eluding and a pending OWI 6th offense.
