Two Fond du Lac men have made their initial Fond du Lac court appearances in connection with a mailbox bombing on Doty Street that occurred more than six years ago. Elliot Schneider and Jonas Johnson made their initial appearances on multiple charges including Damage to Property with use of an Explosive, First Degree Reckless Injury and Recklessly Endangering Safety. The charges carry a maximum sentence of 70 years in prison. Schneider was released on a signature bond. Bail was set at $100,000 cash for Johnson. Fond du Lac County District Attorney Toney says police continue to investigate the bombing. “We will work with law enforcement to investigate and prosecute acts of violence to keep our communities safe. We are asking anyone with additional information to contact the City of Fond du Lac Police Department,” Toney said.
