Pioneer Road from Johnson Street to Forest Avenue – FDL County Highway Dept
Friday August 19: The adjacent intersection project at Johnson and Pioneer will have signals fully operational by the end of the day Friday August 19. At that time, CTH VV will reopen south of Johnson St. The intersection at KFC and Faros will be in a stop condition from the private road until the traffic signals are delivered and installed, which is expected to be by the end of September. A railing will be installed along the retaining wall by Ala Roma within the next few weeks. County crews will finish installing permanent signage. Please use caution and drive slowly on this route while contractors and county crews finish the remaining work items.
2 nd Street from Vincent Street to DeNeveu Creek
Schedule: May 16 th though October
Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.
August 22 to August 26: Electrical contractor will install light poles and electrical boxes at beginning of week. Grading contractor will prep terraces for restoration mid-week. Restoration could begin towards the end of the week.
Traffic Impacts: 2 nd Street is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.

14 th Street Reconstruction
Schedule: May 31 through October
Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.
August 22 to August 26: Contractor will continue with sanitary and storm sewer main and lateral installation. The pipe-bursting contractor will continue installing sanitary laterals and water services.
Traffic Impacts: 14 th Street is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. Military Road from Western Avenue to Superior Street – WI DOT Northeast Region
Schedule: April 11-October 2022
Description: The reconstruction of S Military Rd includes reconstruction of the street and utilities, addition of bike lane and construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Military Road and 9 th Street.
August 22 to August 26: Utility contractor will be working on storm sewer and grading from Grove St, south to project limits.
Traffic Impacts: Military Road remains closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. The intersection of Military Road and 9 th Street remains closed to traffic.
WIS 23 Expansion – Urban Section – WI DOT Northeast Region
Location/limits: WIS 23 and various intersecting local roads between US 151 and Seven Hills Road
Schedule: April 11, 2021 to fall of 2022
Description of work: This work is part of the WIS 23 4-lane, on-alignment expansion project in Sheboygan and Fond du Lac counties.
August 22 to August 26: The contractor anticipates working on the following items:
Continue concrete paving WIS 23 westbound from Wisconsin American Drive to Whispering Springs.
Continue grading on the WIS 23 eastbound lanes and the new trail from County UU to the east.
Begin storm sewer installation on WIS 23 eastbound east and west of Tower Road.
Continue concrete paving WIS 23 eastbound near County UU.
Begin electrical installation at the Highway 151 southbound off ramp intersection with WIS 23.
Continue building the new road on WIS 23 westbound under Highway 151.
Continue construction of the new retaining wall between Hilltop and County UU.
