Fond du Lac Area Transit is offering free bus rides all day on Wednesday. Fond du Lac Area Transit manager, Lynn Gilles, says the annual event has been going on for more than a decade. Gilles says it’s not a coincidence that Free Fare Day is being held as kids go back to school this week. “It’s a perfect day to go out and do a test run,” Gilles told WFDL news. Staff will be on hand to assist you in learning how to ride the bus. Refreshments will be served at the Main Transfer Zone at the corner of Macy and Rees Streets from 9 a.m. until noon.
