Two people were seriously injured in separate crashes in Fond du Lac Friday night, one involving a scooter and another a moped. Shortly after 9pm Friday an individual attempting to cross Scott Street near Mill Street on a scooter was struck by a vehicle. The scooter operator was transported to Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee with life-threatening injuries. Police were working to positively identify the scooter operator. Anyone with information is asked to call police. Shortly after 10:30pm Friday a Fond du Lac Police officer found an unconscious man on the terrace at the intersection of Fond du Lac Avenue and County Road V. The 51-year-old Fond du Lac resident did not have a pulse and was not breathing. The Officer performed CPR until the individual’s pulse returned and Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue arrived on scene. A preliminary investigation indicates the victim was operating a moped when it hit the curb ejecting the operator onto the terrace. He was flown by helicopter to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee with life threatening injuries.
