14 th Street Reconstruction

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.
September 19 to September 23: Contractor will begin road excavation between Park Ave and Vine St. The pipe-bursting contractor will continue installing storm laterals on private property.

Military Road from Western Avenue to Superior Street – WI DOT Northeast Region
Schedule: April 11-October 2022
Description: The reconstruction of S Military Rd includes reconstruction of the street and utilities, addition of bike lane and construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Military Road and 9 th Street.
September 19 to September 23: The concrete crew will complete the placement of the roadway gravel base. String line for concrete paving will be installed on Monday followed by trimming of the gravel along the east side, northbound lanes of the project. Access to driveways along the east side of the roadway will be restricted during these operations. Concrete paving is scheduled for the week of September 19 (east side) and 26 th (west side), weather pending.
Traffic Impacts: Military Road remains closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. The intersection of Military Road and 9 th Street remains closed to traffic.
WIS 23 Expansion – Urban Section – WI DOT Northeast Region
Location/limits: WIS 23 and various intersecting local roads between US 151 and Seven Hills Road
Schedule: April 11, 2021 to fall of 2022
Description of work: This work is part of the WIS 23 4-lane, on-alignment expansion project in Sheboygan and Fond du Lac counties.
September 19 to September 23: The contractor anticipates working on the following items:
Begin curb and gutter on WIS 23 westbound from Wisconsin American Drive to County UU.
Continue paving the new asphalt on WIS 23 eastbound
Begin lighting base construction on the County K interchange
Begin placing colored concrete pavement and concrete sidewalk on the County K interchange.
Complete underground work on the County UU interchange
Begin grading the new right turn lane for the USH 151 off ramp to WIS 23
Begin storm sewer installation for the USH 151 off ramp to WIS 23
Traffic impacts:
County K north at WIS 23 – Closed
County UU (South of WIS 23) – Closed
County UU (North of WIS 23) – Closed
Beginning the week of September 12 , the contractor will begin construction on the new right turn lane for the Highway 151 northbound off ramp to WIS 23. During construction of the new turn lane, roadway widths will be reduced. Anticipate delays while using the ramp during construction.
