A Ripon woman has been charged with a drug overdose death. Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney says Carla Endeward is charged with First Degree Reckless Homicide for a fentanyl death that occurred in the City of Ripon on March 5, 2020. Endeward was also charged with additional drug related offenses. “Fentanyl is killing kids at record rates, destroying families, and destabilizing our communities,” Toney said. “I have sat across from too many families that have buried their child from fentanyl poisoning. We must gain control of the southern border and curtail the flow of fentanyl and other illegal drugs into Wisconsin and the United States. This border crisis is in our streets and we need the federal government to act and secure the border.” Toney is the Republican candidate for state attorney general. Endeward is currently incarcerated at Taycheedah Correctional Institution and an initial appearance is anticipated within the next week.
