One person was killed and two people were injured in a head on collision in Fond du Lac County. The two-vehicle crash happened shortly after 12pm Friday on state Highway 26 near Triple Kay Road south of Rosendale. An initial investigation and witness statements indicate a northbound vehicle had been deviating from the northbound lane of travel onto the shoulder and back several times before the crash. This vehicle then crossed the centerline and collided with a southbound passenger car. The driver of the northbound vehicle, a 71 year old Eldorado man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and a passenger in the southbound vehicle, from the Edgarton, Wisconsin area were transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Both lanes of Highway 26 were closed and traffic was rerouted following the crash. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
