MILWAUKEE (AP) — David Stearns is stepping down as the Milwaukee Brewers’ president of baseball operations. Matt Arnold will take over the lead role in overseeing the team’s baseball operations. 10-27-22 gas leak forces evacuation of waupun dialysis center

Nobody was injured following a gas leak that forced the evacuation of a dialysis center and six homes in Waupun Wednesday afternoon.  The leak happened after a construction crew hit a gas main on Beaver Dam Street.  Occupants of the Waupun Dialysis Center were relocated to the Waupun Memorial Hospital Emergency Department until the leak was repaired about an hour later.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Someone who was hit by the man convicted in last year's Christmas parade crash says the verdict will help all the victims heal. Darrell Brooks was found guilty Wednesday of all 76 charges, including six counts of first-degree intentional homicide. 10-27-22 september local unemployment rate

The local unemployment rate is down slightly or unchanged in the latest reporting period.  The September unemployment rate in Dodge County was 2.8 percent in September, the same as August.  The Fond du Lac County rate was down two tenths of a percent to 2.8 percent.   The city of Fond du Lac's jobless rate stands at 2.9 percent, down from 3.2 percent in August.

The American Red Cross in Wisconsin is asking residents to step up and help protect the blood supply by donating this fall.  Red Cross spokesperson Laura McGuire says people of all blood types are needed, especially platelet donors and those with type O blood.  McGuire says it's important to donate now to help keep the blood supply from dropping ahead of the holidays.  People who donate between November 1 and November 22 […]
