Fond du Lac County Clerk Lisa Freiberg says if absentee voting is any indication it will be a very high voter turnout in next week’s election. Freiberg says when it comes to mail-in and in-person early voting in Fond du Lac County she has never seen anything like it. “”It’s absolutely nuts,” Freiberg told WFDL news. “I don’t know what is going on, but it is absolutely crazy. We are seeing record turnout.” Thursday is the last day to request an absentee ballot by mail, but Freiberg warns you are taking a risk of it getting to the polls in time. The polls open at 7am Tuesday.
