Fond du Lac School District students in third, fourth, and fifth grade are encouraged to sign up for a free series of workshops to help them learn to problem-solve while discovering creative and innovative solutions. The Design Lab at the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Idea Studio is now accepting applications for its spring session that includes 10 Saturday workshops from Feb. 11 through May 6. Students will learn the fundamental skills of design thinking, learn from community experts, then apply their new skills to come up with solutions to real-world problems. The grant funded Design Lab is part of a nationwide collaboration, and is closing the opportunity gap with arts-integrated, project based, STEAM Programming for traditionally marginalized communities.
