The American Red Cross in Wisconsin is encouraging residents to donate blood. January is National Blood Donor month. American Red Cross spokeswoman Laura McGuire says January can be a tough time for donors to make and keep appointments. McGuire says the start of the new year marks a time when the busy holiday season winds down, and the threat of severe winter weather and seasonal illnesses continue to rise. If you donate blood this month you will be automatically entered to win a trip for two to the Super Bowl in February in Arizona.
