Southbound Interstate 41 south of Fond du Lac was closed for more than two hours Thursday afternoon after a motor vehicle carrier crashed blocking both lanes of traffic. The crash happened shortly before 3:30pm Thursday on 41 near County Highway F. Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt the vehicle was northbound on 41 when the driver lost control, crossed the median, and came to rest across both southbound lanes. Waldschmidt says southbound traffic is being detoured on Highway B, to Highway 175, and over to Highway 49. Waldschmidt says fortunately there were no serious injuries. Snow covered slippery roads are contributing to several multi-vehicle crashes on area roads. Shortly after 2pm more than two dozen vehicles were involved in a crash on southbound 41 near Highway 28 in Washington County.
