Fond du Lac police have released a bodycam video showing the arrest of a Fond du Lac man wanted on a reckless homicide charge following an altercation with police officers. Shortly after 5pm Wednesday February 15 a Fond du Lac police officer observed the suspect riding a bicycle on 6th Street. The suspect stopped but did not respond to the officers’ verbal commands. The video shows the suspect throwing chunks of concrete, striking a squad car, and an officer in the leg, and making threats of violence toward the officers on the scene. An officer deployed what’s called an eXact iMpact 40mm sponge round striking the suspect in the leg, knocking the suspect to the ground, and taking him into custody.
