The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says inattentive driving appears to be a factor in a fatal crash this week. Twenty two year old Briana Lynae Thompson of Appleton was killed Sunday evening when her car suddenly veered across the center line on Highway 26 near Cattaraugus Road colliding head on with another vehicle. “It appears because it was a quick move (crossing center line) either she was looking down or we’re not quite sure,” Sheriff’s captain Bill Tadych told WFDL news. “We’re still following up with that.” The driver of the other vehicle, a 60 year old Waupun woman, received minor injuries.
