Democratic U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin will visit the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh Friday afternoon to highlight a $1 million federal investment for the construction of a new community center. The center will include additional classrooms and outside green space for the use of over 1,000 children each year. Baldwin is a member of the senate appropriations committee and pushed for including the funds in the 2023 bipartisan 2023 federal funding bill. The Boys and Girls Club of Oshkosh currently provides services to 800 children daily with an increase of 70% in attendance over the last several years. The new center will also house several agencies serving low-income people under one roof to expand access to support families in Oshkosh.
