A 29 year old Fond du Lac man was killed after apparently stepping in front of a semi tractor trailer on Interstate 41 near the Johnson Street overpass in Fond du Lac. Fond du Lac County Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt says the incident happened shortly after 3pm Saturday. The victim has been identified as Jordan Damian King. Waldschmidt told WFDL news a preliminary investigation indicates the incident appears to be a suicide. Meanwhile Waldschmidt says sheriff’s deputies were busy responding to more than two dozen crashes and vehicle runoffs during a major snow storm that dumped as much as a foot of snow in the area. A winter storm warning was in effect Saturday for southcentral and southeast Wisconsin including Fond du Lac and Dodge counties.
