Fond du Lac Police Chief Aaron Goldstein provided an update Tuesday morning on AM 1170s Between the Lines program

Fond du Lac, WI:   The homicide investigation remains ongoing, very active, and a priority for the City of Fond du Lac Police Department. There has been significant developments and new information from interviews, tips, and reviews of various video recordings.  FDLPD cannot go into a level of investigative specifics at this time to protect the integrity of the investigation, however there is information to share for community awareness.    FDLPD first wants to express our sincerest sympathies to the families, friends, and loved ones of Tatyanna Zech stemming from this senseless tragedy.  The impact of this tragedy is far reaching.  Both the 18-year-old male and 49-year-old male have been upgraded to stable condition this morning.   FDLPD Detectives submitted a request to the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office for nationwide arrest warrants for both Antonio K. Johnston and Parise E. Larry Jr.  Once issued investigators will partner with federal law enforcement agencies to assist in locating and securing both suspects.  Through the investigation FDLPD Detectives have learned that the 49-year-old victim was not connected with the shooting.  The 49-year-old victim was sleeping upstairs inside his apartment when a stray bullet entered the apartment striking him and critically wounding him at the time.  Additionally, investigators learned that his 18-year-old son was downstairs inside their apartment and a stray bullet grazed his leg.   FDLPD Chief Aaron Goldstein said, “The investigative efforts and inter-agency collaboration of FDLPD Detectives and Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Detectives is vital to holding violent offenders who chose to put our community at risk responsible for their criminal actions here.  FDLPD will not rest until they are found and in custody.”    This incident remains under active investigation by the City of Fond du Lac Police Department.
