Law enforcement officers who have fallen in the line of duty are being recognized this week during National Police Week. Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says a memorial ceremony is being held Wednesday morning in front of the Dodge County Administration building. Wisconsin Supreme Court chief justice Annette Ziegler will be the keynote speaker. So far this year four law enforcement officers in Wisconsin have died in the line of duty, making it the deadliest year for Wisconsin law enforcement in over two decades. A memorial service will be held at the Law Enforcement Memorial in Fond du Lac’s Hamilton Park Thursday.
