Fond du Lac police are investigating the discovery of a body in a wooded area behind a residence. Early Tuesday afternoon police and rescue personnel were called to the 500 block of West Scott Street for a report of a person who was doing yard work and came across a body in a wooded area behind a residence. Police detectives responded to the scene. An investigation is underway into the circumstances that led up to the death of this individual. Police are calling the death suspicious. The Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy as early as Wednesday to determine the cause and manner of death. The identity of the deceased is not known at this time.
