5-30-23 memorial day holiday travel safety

Area law enforcement was out in force this holiday weekend as motorists headed out for the long Memorial Day holiday weekend.    Fond du Lac County Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt says   a lot of people were pulling a trailer for the first time since last summer.  Waldschmidt says make sure to make sure to lock and strap equipment down that you’re traveling with so it doesn’t fly off the trailer.  The Sheriff’s Office is participating in the annual Click it or Ticket seatbelt enforcement campaign to get people to buckle up.  Waldschmidt says slow down, pay attention, and don’t drink and drive.
