5-31-23 little white school house names new museum director

(Ripon, Wisconsin)  – The Little White Schoolhouse has announced the appointment of Steve Arbaugh as its new Museum Director.  Arbaugh will be focusing on marketing communications, special events, and overall visitor experience.   According to a press release Arbaugh has a diverse background and passion for history, and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team.  Having grown up in five Midwestern states,  “Steve has experienced the vibrant tapestry of large cities and small towns,”  according to the release.   Throughout his career, he has worked with both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, ranging from startups to large corporations.   Arbaugh and his wife Cathylee have been residents of Ripon for the past six years, having previously owned a home in Marquette County for  23 years.   Arbaugh has worked at the local historical society, where he has made contributions in website development, social media management, fundraising campaigns, and fostering member relationships.   The Little White Schoolhouse Team says it is excited to welcome Steve and leverage his expertise to enhance the visitor experience and strengthen community engagement.  “Steve’s profound knowledge of marketing communications, special events, and his passion for history make him a perfect fit for his new role. His innovative ideas and dedication to preserving and promoting Ripon’s unique history will undoubtedly contribute to the success of the Little White Schoolhouse,” according  to the press release.  The Little White Schoolhouse, known as the birthplace of the Republican Party,  has been freshly painted and polished and will be open soon Monday-Sunday, 10AM-4PM.   You can check out the Little White Schoolhouse Facebook page or www.ripon1854.com for the exact date of the reopening.  The Little White School House recently moved to it’s new address at 1074 West Fond du Lac Street.
