Periods of heavy rain prompted the National Weather Service to issue a flood advisory for Fond du Lac County Wednesday afternoon. The advisory was issued following heavy rain due to thunderstorms that resulted in minor flooding and ponding of water in low-lying and poor drainage areas in the Fond du Lac area.
