6-1-23 long-range summer forecast

This summer is expected to be a scorcher for millions of Americans in the West, South and East, according to a long-range outlook issued by NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center.  The forecast covers the three month period of June, July and August.  National Weather Service meteorologist, Denny Van Cleve says Wisconsin and the Midwest is predicted to see temperatures relatively close to average.   While the the long-range forecast calls for a wet summer in parts of the Midwest Van Cleve says average precipitation is expected in Wisconsin.   This summer is expected to be drier than average in portions of the Southwest and Northwest.
