5-30-23 fdl shed fire under investigation

Nobody was injured in a shed fire at a Fond  du Lac residence that spread to a nearby home.  Shortly after 11:30pm Sunday firefighters were called to 325 Doty St. for a reported shed on fire in the backyard of the residence to find the entire shed fully involved in fire.  The fire was quickly knocked down, but not before the fire spreading to a nearby home that sustained heat damage.   Three vehicles parked near […]

5-30-23 fdl stabbing suspect arrested in chicago

A suspect in a domestic violence stabbing incident in Fond du Lac earlier this year is in custody.   Forty six year old Lataye Smith, was arrested without incident by U.S. Marshals in Chicago.  He is awaiting extradition to Wisconsin to face a charge of  Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide.  Smith is accused of attacking a 39 year old Fond du Lac woman in January at her South Main Street apartment.  She escaped to […]

Two people escaped serious injuries in a two vehicle crash in Dodge County.  The crash happened Friday morning on Center Drive at Highway HH in the town of Lomira.  A preliminary investigation shows a car that was northbound on Center Drive failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by an SUV.  The driver of the car, a 22 year old Whitewater man, was transported to St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac […]

Thousands of people converged on Lakeside Park Sunday for Fond du Lac's fourth Food Truck Festival.  Festival goers sampled cuisine from more than 30 food trucks.  In addition to food trucks, the popular event featured music, educational booths, and several activities for kids and adults.  The event is sponsored by the non-profit organization Friends of Lakeside Park.
