Nobody was injured and a Fond du Lac man is in custody following a high speed chase. It started shortly after 1am Sunday when a sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for following another vehicle too closely on Highway 151 at Brookhaven Beach Road in the town of Taycheeda. Shortly after the pursuit started the suspect vehicle had a flat tire, and continued to drive with three wheels. The vehicle ran over stop sticks on 151 at Ducharme Parkway, and crashed when the driver lost control while attempting to exit at Johnson Street. The driver, a 24 year old Fond du Lac man, was arrested on multiple charges including OWI 1 st offense, felony fleeing/eluding, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of fentanyl. Further investigation revealed that he was out on bond following a high speed chase involving drugs in Dodge County last month. He was also involved in an incident in the City of Fond du Lac on June 9, where he had fled from officers during an investigation.
